Powered by a Honda 4 stroke 90hp outboard with electric trim, a full walk-round for fighting fish, live-bait well, fish-finder, compass, Garmin 550S GPS chartplotter/sounder, VHS, rod holders, comfortable seating, ice box/cooler, and T-Top shade.  This boat is fast, roomy & comfortable and will get you to all the major fishing grounds within 30mins.

All safety equipment provided.  Fully Licensed, insured & comfortable for up to 4 anglers.

LOCATION - How to find us
Denton Bridge, Banjul Highway, Banjul

African Angler sport fishing boat charters depart from Jetty No 1, Denton Bridge, located off the main highway to Banjul.  A short taxi ride from all hotels in the resort areas will take between 10mins and 30mins to get there - if you are in resort and want to have a chat about the fishing, a good time to catch us is between 8.30am and 10.30am.  We can also arrange transport on your behalf if you have booked boat fishing with us, cutting out any hassle of organising it for yourself.

                       DIRECTIONS

Travel on the highway towards Banjul. Arrive at Denton Bridge. Turn 'RIGHT' directly onto the small narrow road at the check-point before going over the Bridge itself - carry on to the road end and on the left hand side you will find a red-roofed small bar/cafe called 'The African Angler' overlooking the water's edge and Harbour.  This is where we are based and our boat/s are moored.  Facilities include: refreshments, toilets & private jetty.

                  THE CAPTAINS

All of our Captains offer an efficient, friendly and professional service. You will find our Captains are ready and willing to share their valuable experience and advice with all of our anglers. They have all been fishing Gambia's inshore waters collectively for over 40 years.


Bala Moses is one of 4 Fishing Guides.  He has been working for the company for over 15 years.

Bala has guided USA angler Stan Nabozny for line class & 'all tackle' world records with the IGFA.
